Hi there guys! Just want to let you know that here in Mexico we are already planning for your trip. We are excited that you are coming. Keep holding on to that dependance on God despite all your fears of the unknown. God can work in and through you and we are praying that He will prepare your hearts as well as those of the people you will minister to. It's going to be a great time. In the meantime pack in as much Spanish learning as you can. You'll be glad you did (or regret it if you don't). Who said anything about not having hairdryers???

I JUST THINK ITS GREAT THAT ALL YOU GUYS ARE GOING OUT TO SERVE GOD IN MEXICO. I DIDN'T REALLY KNOW WHAT TO PUT ON THIS GUESTBOOK SO SORRY IF I RAMBLE ON A BIT. I JUST WANT TO ENCOURAGE YOU, LIFE WILL BE A GREAT CHANGE BUT REMEMBER THAT LITTLE SONG "DID YOU EVER TALK TO GOD ABOVE"? WELL THERE'S A LINE IN IT, 'ANYWHERE ON EARTH YOU GO HE'S BEEN THERE FROM THE START' I HOPE THIS JUST REALLY ENCOURAGES YOU AS YOU GO TO MEXICO. ANOTHER THING, IF YOU'RE FEELING SAD BEFORE YOU GO, WORRYING JUS REMEMBER TO KEEP READING YOUR BIBLE, PRAYING AND GOING TO CHURCH. GIVE ALL YOUR WORRIES AND BURDENS TO GOD AND HE WILL BEAR THEM FOR YOU.
HOPE THIS HELPS

Hey there Mexico Team... just wanted to encourage you all...Mexico is going to change you - there is no denying that! Love being in a team, look out for eachother, love those street kids..unconditionally..its such a privledge to do Gods work, and although it will get tough and you will get tired, make the most of every minute you have away, and remember to have fun too... never get afraid when your out there, theres alot of people looking after you - wait til you meet Samuel..hes a big guy! a couple of pointers, dont wave to the policemen, dont breathe in too heavily beside a kid sniffing glue, dont dance to wildly in ur bedroom (Jim will tel ya!) and write in ur journal everynight, youl be glad when you get home. God Bless

Yo. I don't really know what to write either, guys, other than to say that I agree with the advice given above... It is such a great opportunity to get to know one another and God, so just go for it. Even in the run-up, when the feelings of inadequacy or I'm-just-another-bleeding-heart-gap-yearer start to pinch, just pray through it all. And take the chance to really talk to the full-timers out there, they can teach us a lot.
Paz.
